Those that one starred this place clearly have never cared for animals or really looked around the big city zoo's, heck half of the low scores with no comments are likely from the same person that has been harassing this place for the last few years. Yes there was a deer carcass in the wolves cage area - but what do you think wolves eat? I really like this place and found it a great way to teach children about animals. Yes, there is poop in the pens, shockingly, animals poop and most poop a lot! I didn't see any excessive piles of mess in any of the pens, all the animals look well fed and well cared for. I have been there a few times now, and will continue to support this place as long as I see that they continually are bettering it and taking good care of the animals.

This was the best zoo ever. I spend a great deal of my childhood here and have a ton of pleasant memories. The staff were so friendly and helpful. I learned and experienced a lot here.None of the animals here were mistreated. I was especially impressed with how they housed the chinchillas. The enclosure was situated so that guests could get a good look at them, but not disturb them.If they ever reopen I will support them 110%.

This is nowhere to take your children. The animals live in filth and barren enclosures. Frequent dead animals are seen in cages and often rotting carcasses are strewn about. The stench of death is everywhere. There are safety concerns as well, as they allow people too close contact with dangerous animals. They do not conform to zoo standards and have lists of violations against them. Do not support this cruelty to animals and show your kids this is now how animals should live!

We had a great time at Guzoo. Lynn and his family take amazing care of the animals. I am a huge animal lover and love that they care for injured, rescued and newborn animals. Where else can someone get the chance to interact with a baby cougar in a safe and caring environment. Thank you for all the hard work you do and for saving the animals. They look happier, healthier and are breeding more then any city zoo I've ever been too.

I started volunteering at Guzoo to help the animals and I like to think I did.Their quality of life did get better , the animals greeted me , they knew me and I am thankful I was able to help them a more then others could.I am also thankful to have been able to lots of the experiences I had with the animals and with my kids with the animals. We had a lot of nice times at Guzoo and some not so nice experiences. The idea of Guzoo is a wonderful one but it was never at its full potential and in the end I think it was probably a really good thing for the Guzoo to have closed down.I will never forget the times I had there.
